In my work, responding to the natural world around me is inevitable. Walking through and being in the landscape is vital to my practice. Playing with scale, shape and colour are key in developing images. Being a finalist in Sky Landscape Artist of the year in summer 2019 was an amazing experience and has led me to work in a different way. I want to spend even more time 'out there' working in a more intuitive and spontanious way. I also work from drawings back in the studio before attempting a finished piece and then work on several canvases at the same time. With printmaking, I find a different discipline leads to a cross pollination of ideas which feeds all strands of my work.

Additional Information

I am still working through these difficult times and hope to exhibit again either later in the year or at Art Trail 2021!

Please contact me if you would like to come for a browse at home or in my studio when we can move about again. Absolutely no obligation to buy, it would just be nice to stay connected through art.
