Woodcuts, Wood Engravings, Linocuts and Drypoint Prints depicting the landscape and my love of trees.
I originally trained to be a Graphic Designer and attended a Foundation Course at Northbrook College, where I discovered a taste for printmaking. This love was rekindled much later when I attended a Wood Engraving course at West Dean College with Sarah van Niekerk which inspired me to learn more printmaking methods. I went on to learn Woodcut with Merlyn Chesterman and Linocut with Will Dyke, continuing with further courses at Artworks learning Drypoint and Mezzotint.
Starting with a sketch I then choose the printmaking method I feel best depicts the image and reproduce this on Wood, Lino, Copper or Perspex in order to take a relief or intaglio print.
