Personal Statement

Heather has painted in a variety of different styles and sizes but has for many years specialised in tactile relief work paintings, winning prestigious commissions with Touch Tours of Tate Modern, The Mary Rose Museum, a Mary Rose commemorative coin, The Wordsworth Museum and Braintree and East Devon Crematoria. Her work is in the collections of The Eden Project, Tangmere Museum, Hospitals in Guernsey, Northern Ireland and London. Her portrait collection ' I am not who you think I am', launched World Sight day at Moorfield Eye Hospital in London.

More recently Heather has ventured into the world of Artist Books, creating work in wood, leather and gold leaf.

She is also the author of 'The Painting in Room 48' a fictional story set in a hospital, influenced by one of her paintings and a thesis she wrote 'Art as a Complementary Healer.
