Colourful imaginative and figurative paintings in acrylic, original prints and mixed media, drawing inspiration from events past and present.
During my life I have used art in many different ways, sometimes, to capture a moment of joy and happiness. At times, I use art to work through a troubling situation or emotion. And there are times when I use my art to create a work that will draw attention to a particular issue that is of importance to me. When painting, I mainly use acrylics, and when printmaking I am currently using woodcuts and linocuts. I also enjoy creating large, detailed drawings, mainly about myself and my family, and the situations we have faced during the year. As I have got older, I have also started to show my love of the countryside and nature in my work, and how a connection with the outdoors and our gardens is so vital for our well-being. With my love of colour and of life, lots of my work is uplifting and fun, as hopefully you will discover when visiting me in my workshop.
