Block and screen printing on paper and textiles including tea towels, baby clothes, tee shirts and tote bags.
I started learning arts and crafts when I retired and I began with a part time course at Chichester College. Always one to jump in at the deep end I then started a life drawing class in Worthing, the tutor Dudley Sawer introduced something different every couple of weeks and one week he taught us lino printing, I was hooked straight away. From then on, although I attend a regular art class with Helen Hiles, printing has been my first love. I went to the courses run by Will Dyke, where I learned more about the craft. It was some time later that I started screen printing at Handprinted in Bognor, where I learned the joy of printing on fabric. I now block and screen print on both paper and fabric. I like making prints of local views of the downs that capture my imagination. Also I enjoy creating quirky and amusing designs and characters, something that brings a smile.
