Lee will be showing his images on various different substrates including canvas, 100% cotton fine art giclee paper, aluminium composite, acrylic, greetings cards and postcards.
Lee Carpenter's interest in photography started just over ten years ago and it was one photograph of Durdle Door using a Casio Point and shoot camera that inspired him to embrace his new skills. What started out as a hobby is now a passion and he is fortunate enough to be able to combine this with his work. As with all photographers their desire to buy an even better camera is always there and he now uses a Canon 1DX MKii which he would describe as an amazing camera which shoots 14 frames a second. With past experience in the printing world, Lee and his business partner Kevin Misselbrook set up the company Border Digital and this has enabled Lee to experiment and push boundaries with the printing of his photographs. Their move to bigger and better premises will enable Lee to focus even more so on the photography and set up a studio and gallery within the business. As well as canvas, paper and posters, he enjoys working with metal and plastics. Lee has built up a large collection of work focusing on Goodwood motor racing, Superbikes, vintage cars and aircraft as well as a love for all images taken at high speed including dogs.
