Oil painting and printmaking, large to miniature sizes. Seascape, landscape and abstract adaptations from experience, investigating composition, colour and light processed with roller and brush
Simplicity of composition, colour and interpretation are key elements of my work. A piece of artwork, or expression, should invite the attention of the viewer, to assess and enjoy the balance and creative choice of the artist. My work is influenced by trainings in painting, drawing and printmaking, studying at Wimbledon and Exeter followed by teaching Art at Secondary School. I am exhibiting a range of seascape, landscape and abstract adaptations from experiences of Chichester Harbour, Scotland and Wales investigating composition, colour and light processed with expressive roller, brush work and drawing techniques. A great love of sky and blue.
