Personal Statement

I started making simple jewellery for myself about 20 years ago with polymer clay, using the millefiori technique to create intricate patterns to make beads. I still use polymer clay to decorate Easter eggs with tiny flowers to create ornaments, which I have sold world wide. My jewellery making has since developed and designing and creating jewellery has become a passion for me, which I find very fulfilling. I have taken some silver smith courses, but am mostly self taught. A few years ago I discovered precious metal clay and am delighted to be able to use this medium to make unique fine silver jewellery. I feel creatively inspired every day, living so close to nature in this beautiful area. I also use semi-precious stones, gold filled wire, sea glass, and sterling silver. You will see some nature inspired pieces in my collection, but will also find pieces for the office or going out. Earrings are my speciality.
