Mainly large contemporary still life in oils, pastel animal portraits and some smaller works.
I am lucky to have a small studio at my home (where Lilian the chicken often comes into, to sit on the couch while I work!). My art is inspired by the simple things around me. Whilst I always loved art at school (it was my favourite subject, with biology being my second favourite), I took a different direction. I trained as a nurse, worked mainly in Intensive Care and have an MSc in Cardiology - quite a way away from the art I loved, although I always did some when I had time. However, as life changes, drawing and painting is now a major part of what I do. I have studied art in London and West Sussex and I like to paint mainly still life, sometimes with a contemporary touch. I also do animal portraits and add some smaller art and craft works in when I can.
